Completed the seasoning of the pans and so far they are working great.
I had been watching what GOSO has been putting out and finally had the chance to meet them at the Vernon Overland Connect event. Their cookware is absolutely un-touchable in craftsmanship, quality and design. These will be the last set of pans we will ever have to buy. These are the future of camp cookware. If you have been sitting on the fence about your purchase, Do your self a favour and buy them you will not regret it.
If you are looking for an all around great pan that can go from your home kitchen to your camp kitchen this is the perfect set! These pans are a nice weight, seasoned perfectly and the grip of the handle is impressive ( no wiggle at all) .. so happy we made this purchase!
Haven't had a chance to cook with it yet but seasoned it according to instructions plus a few times in addition. That all turned out exactly as planned. Will update after cooking.
After several weeks of use I can comfortably say these are an absolute "must have" for any overlander that takes cooking on the trail seriously.
I have taken my everywhere pans on several long distance remote overlanding trips and I can confidently say they are an amazing replacement for my old school cast iron pan.
The two pans together with with the handle are lighter than my 9" cast iron, and the carbon steel is much more rugged and less brittle. All while maintaining a non-stick seasoning. It's even compatible with my induction cooktop for gas free cooking at camp.
